The Missional Band Search

So in a couple of week's, the band we've been using for Phoenix is no more. (They are disbanding - pardon the pun.) For the last couple of weeks we've been working our music contacts pretty hard, and it's begun to pay off. I've had a couple of really good conversations with some very cool musician/believers. But here's the rub... How do you choose? And how do you evaluate their "fit" with your organization?

You go see them perform. You go see them live.

You can only learn so much from myspace, facebook, CD's, and conversation.

So the last few nights, my peeps and I have been going to bars: Sort of a band search pub crawl kind of thing... Very Austin"ish" - and pretty darn missional actually.
