Leadership Summit Thoughts – Day One (before lunch)

• Poetry Slam on the history of the church – risky, but they pulled it off!
• Jim Mellado is recovering and his son is fine – Been praying for that guy, so I am glad he’s okay and getting better
• Bill Hybels and process – He admits what most of us think …that process is a dirty word! But, his talk was powerful and my team loved it. It’s all about bringing people along on the vision journey. He also talked about a leader’s willingness to give it all for the vision. Are we “hirelings” or are we “Owners”?
• Carlie Fiorina - You can make a gift of everything if you see it that way... Even getting fired by a Fortune 500 company!
