This morning I am speaking about our need to run after God from Revelation 3:14-22. It's about a church... It could be any church. It could be my church. It could be me! The indictment is that they have become stale - lukewarm - yuckie!
- Repent and confess - Turn back to God. Turn back to his dream for you. Turn back to his plans and his purposes ...to Him. Stop thinking that you are okay. Stop thinking that everything is fine. Neil Cole says this, "In many churches in the West, ministry is done for Jesus, but not by Jesus - and therein lies a big difference."
- Invite him in... - We tend to look at this verse as a verse for salvation. Wow, how we've blow the context here! Think about it... Jesus himself says, "I am knocking. I am waiting. I just want to dine with you. I want to be with you..."
