The little coffeshop that could
Almost a year and a half ago we opened our coffeeshop and gallery - Connexion (North Austin - corner of Woodrow Ave. and Dartmouth). We've been serving coffee, making friends, and having way too much caffeinated fun ever since. I am constantly amazed that we are still run by volunteers and that we still collect "donations" instead of charging. I think we've done some pretty cool stuff, but honestly, I am blown away by what's happening in April...
- Trey Ratcliff's art goes on the walls April 1 (His reception is the 10th I believe). Trey has had two write-ups in the Statesman over the last few months. His work is incredible. He does High Def. photos and I think snagging him is huge!
- April 6 is a GREAT friday because Jerry Wise is performing @ 7:00PM - He's freaking amazing! He's made the news lately in the 102.3 "The River" New Artist showcase at Riverbend.
- Also that night (the 6th) is the first "Moviuccino" - That's a cappuccino and a movie @ 9:00PM
- April 9 we start morning hours in the Coffeeshop!! Finally, you can get your morning Latte from us. We are also thinking of doing a "curbside" call-in service.
Not only will the cafe have live music on Friday, April 6th, it will have live music every Friday in April! (maybe Saturday's too)
I'm looking forward to all the fun we are about to have.
